Am I supposed to remove the bones from anchovies?
Q. I just cooked with anchovies for the first time (made chicken puttanesca, which was great) but wasn't exactly sure what to do with them. The recipe called for a tin of anchovies in olive oil, and said to chop them. When I opened the tin, I wasn't sure what to expect, but they were like flat little filets - though it appeared there were some little, tiny bones. Does it matter if you remove them?
