Which type of bass guitar is easier for a beginner to learn on?
Q. I've been wanting to learn how to play the bass guitar. I just wanted to know if the acoustic bass better for beginners or is the electric bass easier to learn on? Also I am not sure of what brand of bass is the best. If you know of any websites to help me learn please post them. Thanks so much!

A. Ok, well easier to learn on is kind of open ended, because they are the same instruments note wise, so everything you learn will transpose from one to the other, but an electric bass guitar will be much easier on your hands and fingers when you first start. An electric will be much heavier and require an amplifier, but it will be much easier to play. Also, acoustic bass guitar music isn't very popular, so influences would be tough to come by. As far as brands, I've heard nothing but awesomeness about SX bass guitars. They are super cheap, but have the right specs (good body wood) and are apparently pretty nice players.

What happens to all the bass fish caught during competitive bass fishing tournaments?
Q. I've watched several bass tournament shows and those guys catch a LOT of fish for competition. What happens to the fish afterwards? It's not like I see a lot of fish specials in restaurants and supermarkets after the event.

A. I fish alot of BASS and FLW tournaments every year. Fish care is our main priority. We don't want the fish getting injured any more than they have to. They are kept in airated live wells through the day and then released back into the lake after they are weighed in and are only out of the water for seconds at a time. Very few fish die and we are penalized by a lowered overall weight for each fish that dies, which insures that we make every possible effort to keep them alive and well.

How do i learn how to play String Bass?
Q. So I got string bass for my instrument to play in school. My problem is that I already know the notes for oboe and instruments like that (I wanted oboe so bad and I put it for 1st choice but they gave me string bass) :(. So If already know those types of notes then how do I get them out of my system so I can learn String Bass notes?? I need help pretty soon. I start learning how to play in about a month.
